Customs officials intercepted €35,810 in undeclared cash during a random currency check at the MIA.
An Israeli passenger travelling to Cyprus, was stopped by Customs, and was found to be carrying €35,810 in undeclared cash.
The Police are investigating the case further.

The illicit substance was found hidden in containers loaded with bananas which were in transhipment from Ecuador to Koper, in Slovenia.

A Russian passenger was found to be carrying €36,014 in undeclared cash at the MIA departures lounge.
The passenger, en-route to Moscow via Istanbul, was stopped by Customs officials during a routine currency check.
