When I had my first baby in LUTH in 2003, the doctor walked in confidently to sew up my episiotomy without any lidocaine. I closed my legs and told him it was not happening. He got angry. That this is something he does everyday and it is not as big a deal as I was making it. I refused STILL.

When he saw how stubborn I was about it, he then said they didn't have any. I got my mum to go and buy; waited a while and then got sutured later.

Apparently, it is a common practice even in Nigerian government hospitals. Lots of people said they were told it was not necessary. I think it is a barbaric practice and doctors who do it should be ashamed of themselves.

Many women consent because they think the doctor knows best. Going through so much pain immediately after vaginal birth should be outlawed.

Spiritual warfare 101 - No matter how overwhelmed you “feel” inside, never show the devil. You see, the devil is NOT Omniscient, so he does not know all things. The things he knows about us are things said and spoken of us. Or the things we let out from our mouths ourselves or by our reactions and actions. So while you may be overwhelmed in your soul, the way he gets to know is from your reaction. And because he is a wicked and oppressive entity, when he knows where it hurts, he robs it in the more.

But responding in praise confounds him. This is exactly the rationale behind the idea that praise confuses the enemy. Because he can’t understand why his onslaught is not causing you to give up and give in.

So beloved saints of God, regardless how you feel right now, find a way to release your praise !

Men don’t believe women choose to be single because men don’t choose to be single.

Being single is the default position for women. That’s why men pursue women and not the other way around. Women only shift out of their default position when a man comes along who makes them want too.

Women want men who make them not want to be single anymore. Men want women because they don’t want to be single. There is a very specific difference there.

It’s also why men can’t figure out why their attempts at scaring and shaming women into getting married don’t work. You can’t shame and scare someone out of their default position.

Women want men who make being in a relationship better than being single. Companionship isn’t enough. There has to be an increase in happiness in her life when she is with a man compared to being alone, that requires active participation in building a good relationship.

If that isn’t there, she will choose to be single.
