@HellzFiya@yegwave 1. Why would DS be held accountable for a citizen initiated petition?
2. Crown land belongs to the province you fucking tool! Once Canada was founded as a country it no longer had any ties to the monarchy other than by name, Crown
Read a fuckin’ book!
@BartFurley So if Caroline produces the food that you eat, then you’d be fine with not having access to their food supply? Also all counties within the province receive taxes from O&G on rates that the cities would envy. None of that money for you though.
@Mellyfax@Bratt_world@Gusinalberta She was talking about the have nots, of which you are a part. Just can’t stand to lose that equalization that Alberta taxpayers send your way, huh?
@2815Lucy@PaulStewartII@DrRana_Centrist No company will touch a new big inch pipeline while the Liberals are running the show. Contractors will line up. A lot of the guys I talked to on TMX said it was like a retirement job. Worked 6 and 1’s. Hardly did anything while on shift. Lots of standby time in camp too.
@PaulStewartII@DrRana_Centrist@2815Lucy Had Trudeau and the rest of the Liberal party stayed out of the way, Kinder Morgan would have built the pipeline at no cost to taxpayers payers. Instead we now have a pipeline that should have cost $9B but because of the feds, it blew up to nearly $35B. Fiscal management 🤡
@DimitrisSoudas I wouldn’t be easy, no one said anything like that. Would it be worth to be out from under the thumb of voters in the east whose wants and desires are so much different than ours? Absolutely! I don’t want to live in a nanny state.
@_The_Lowdown_@akhivae Exactly how do you think cities get funding beyond their tax rolls?? Without transfers from the province they’d have to raise property taxes by a huge amount. Who do you think has a better bankroll of the 2?? A Canadian city within an independent AB? How does that work?
@_The_Lowdown_@akhivae Legal standing as in the laws of the land. There are provincial and federal regulations. Cities, towns and municipalities are subservient to the province. There’s a thing called an MGA. You should look into it. Lots of great info.
@FernwoodFreddie@validmavericity How is it confusing?? Do you want to continue to be part of Canada or work to become an independent nation?? What the F is co fusing about that?? FYI mind the issues in your own province before commenting on another.
@validmavericity Over 300,000 people signed off that they do want to vote on it. Therefore your statement is invalid. There’s going to be a referendum anyway. This wasn’t the only thing on the ballot. It’s just an add-on.
