Thank you to my caucus colleagues George Darouze, Andrew Dowie, John Jordan, & David Piccini for speaking in support of my Private Member’s Motion to create a one-permit system for trails in Ontario.
Pleased that it pased with unanimous support after enthusiastic endorsement by MPPs from all parties who spoke during the debate.
Great to have support from the Ontario Federation of ATV Clubs and member clubs at Queen’s Park for this evening’s debate.
Looking forward to bringing trail users together to develop the one-permit system to:
✅ Grow our economy by making Ontario the premier destination for ATV riders.
✅ Enhance rider and public safety.
✅ Centralize governance to improve trail maintenance, signage, and rider education.
Special shout out to members of the Johnstown ATV Club & Thousand Islands ATV Club for the inspiration to table the motion during a trail ride they invited me on last fall.
One permit, one province, endless adventure!
