It is easier to avoid temptation than to resist it. That is why Bible teaches, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”—not “resist temptation.” The battle is first won at the level of the mind, before it becomes an opportunity in real life. Guard your environment.

Remember this: both the tortoise and the cheetah made it into the ark—speed was not the deciding factor. What mattered was staying the course.
