I’d also like to mention that if you want to use footage from my videos for your own you are more than welcome to use anything don’t even have to bother asking for my permission
Onimusha demo impressions: Its was okay. Didn't make me think this game is doomed but it didn't blow me away either. The action difficulty is weirdly really easy so i can't even imagine what the "story diffculty" is like. Combat is fine but it felt almost arkham like--
@mistwalker1985 Its not strictly tied to the lock on but i do find it makes the game less engaging when you can execute enemies in this game theres a prompt that appears over them and your character auto runs up and does it and then the camera snaps to another if they can also be executed
@mistwalker1985 Have you played the Way of the Sword demo or are you just being purposefully obtuse when I refer to the lock on which is on R3 in this game and has different functionality and properties compared to how it worked in the old games?
@mistwalker1985 Its been 3 years since i last played 2 so my memory isn't the clearest but i recall it not being as easy to land parries as this demo has them. Coupled with the lock on move assist and the nonagro enemies makes this demo feel way different to old games
@mistwalker1985 The headline of the article says that they didn't want to lower the skill floor for the remaster of 2 but it certainly feels like they did for the new game. Maybe the full release won't be like this but i found how the combat flows in the demo to be very unengaging
@mistwalker1985 I find onimusha 1 and 2 much more interesting to play compared to this. I also streamed played them 3 years ago since you want to call me a tourist https://t.co/SCGzvcEEBG
The amount of move assist in this game is really odd for how stationary and slow the enemies they've shown off so far are. Maybe the game's combat design makes more sense with context of what the rest of it is like but then that just means that this is a poor demo showcase
Idk the parry feels way to fucking strong that it just invalidates all other play so far. Here i am just walk forward and hit triangle and parrying when i need to so i can continue my onslaught. I even instantly spin 180 to parry his counter follow up when he parried me
Little write up on a video idea i've had for years but never went on to make. Maybe i'll make it once i finish my current projects but in the mean time

@volmeto I meant in how the lock on into move assist to the next target is like arkham. I agree that the level design was really boring & the fact it doesn't have the RE level design like the originals means that the combat has to carry the show which i don't think what they showed will
