Nobody prepares you for the amount of pain and grief you experience when you have to forgive yourself for believing someone was actually a genuine person. The hardest part isn't just their betrayal.
It's the shame you carry for ignoring your instincts.
it’s crazy the things we don’t even realize we don’t have because of racism, i never even thought about the fact i never saw a black fetus illustrated & now that i’m seeing it, my mind is really blown that i never saw one before now
And I have it on camera ✊🏿🔥
✊🏿🧠A few things we do:
1. No Vaccines
2. Home birth
3. Breastfeed - only breast milk, no “formula”.
4. We read to our child every night. No fictional books. Only real useful information. We started with history books.
5. We don’t use: “baby language”. We speak in full sentences to our child from the moment they were born.
6. Close to zero television with the exception of only educational information, documentaries, lectures and 90’s educational cartoons. Less than 30 minutes a day, if that.
7. Sunlight daily.
8. Exercise/physical activity daily with our child.
9. Blackout curtains in our room so the baby can sleep in darkness for full quality rest. We also incorporate rain sounds to help maintain a steady sleep pattern.
Pray this helps with anyone seeking to maximize their child’s development. Good habits early will pay off in the long run ✊🏿🧠
i'm 27. Instead of regretting that I can't wake up to age 18 again, I pretend to myself that I'm 90 and I've woken up at age 27 again, and that I get to magically, wonderfully have the next 63 years again.
