@DavidAFrench The prequels are structurally flawed beyond redemption. They gave 5 minutes of screen time to Vader "hunting down and killing the Jedi" which was a huge part of the lore. That should have occupied most of the trilogy, not pod races, clone planets and gungans.
@DavidAFrench ROTS is just so bad, though. Poor Hayden Christensen is awful, palpatine is comically stupid, then the miserable Frankenstein scene at the end... Just a mess.
Nobody against data centers understands data centers.
Nobody against Flock cameras understands how they work or what they do.
Nobody demanding Medicare for All knows how Medicare currently functions or what it would cost.
Nobody saying “tax the rich” knows how much the rich already pay in taxes.
Nobody saying “seize the means of production” knows how to build or maintian the means of production.
Nobody saying “fund education” knows how much we already spend on education.
Nobody saying “no new wars” understands geopolitics.
Nobody saying “ban corporate landlords” knows what percentage of homes corporations actually own.
Nobody saying “developers are greedy” understands why housing costs what it does.
Nobody demanding price controls understands what happens to supply when you cap prices.
Nobody saying billionaires could “end homelessness” knows what governments already spend on homelessness.
Nobody saying “just build public housing” knows what it costs government to build a single unit.
Nobody demanding free college knows how much universities already receive from taxpayers.
Nobody saying “just nationalize it” can look at what the government already operates and understand why that's a bad idea.
Modern politics increasingly rewards having the strongest possible opinion about something you have spent the least possible time trying to understand.
The American voter increasingly demand sensationalism and they have no idea how wealthy they are compared to the rest of the world.
They may end up being the cause of their self inflicted belt tightening and they are in no way ready for an ounce of actual poverty.
We need immediate competence to take over sensationalism and social media, especially tiktok is the enemy of that.
@baseballcrank The software company I work for faces limitations to selling throughout Canada because of language requirements. That in no way justifies Trump's ham-handed and unconstitutional tariffs, but it is a legitimate issue.
@David_Charts2@GO2Hawkins Careful when just using nominal spending decreases! Obama was coming off financial crisis, Biden was coming off covid stimulus. I'm not absolving either party. Both are awful on spending.
@scandlenjosh@marctshort Making what claim? The graph doesn't say what you think it says. Tariffs are taxes. They are paid mostly by consumers. Trump raised taxes on American consumers. PLUS he has persued inflationary policies. I wish we had elected a conservative.
