Extreme heat and humidity will be affecting a big part of the U.S. this week and golf course superintendents will be playing defense. If you notice some temporary changes in playing conditions, remember that slow grass is better than no grass!

Always enjoy watching our @Soil_Scout sensors during rain events. The putting surfaces reached field capacity and released around 25% VMC at the 8 inch depth sensor. Back to work tomorrow drying them down to the lower teens.
A look below the surface tonight. A cool and damp week, field temperatures have sat between 45-55 degrees. Thankful for @SubAirSystems for the ability to manipulate our moisture content. Rain incoming tomorrow, we are running the vacuum system in preparation for Monday.
