While men are more likely to develop bladder cancer, it's often detected later in women when the disease has advanced, leading to a poorer prognosis and worse outcomes*.

It was our pleasure to take part in BEAT Bladder Cancer's Anna's Walk in Wellington over the weekend. It's a cause that's personal to so many of us and it was inspiring to see such support from the community. Credit to Rose, Mark, Justine, Michelle, and Team for all their hard work making the event so special.

Greetings from Washington DC! It's great to see so many of you at #AUA2026.
The hot topic today... this week's draft LCD which establishes hematuria evaluation as a covered Medicare benefit for the first time, and includes explicit coding guidance for both Cxbladder Triage and Triage Plus. It's a great outcome for Medicare patients, urologists, and the broader healthcare system, and we invite you to join us at booth #3707. We'ready to answer all your questions.

Major Milestone!! Pacific Edge today announces that a draft Local Coverage Determination (LCD) with foundational medical policy for urine-based biomarkers for hematuria evaluation (DL40378) has been published to the Medicare Coverage Database. The draft LCD includes explicit coding guidance for both Cxbladder Triage and Triage Plus in the associated Local Coverage Article (LCA) (DA60424).

A reminder for all those impacted by Bladder Cancer in Australia and New Zealand. BEAT Bladder Cancer Australia are planning their annual programme of Anna's Walks on the 17th May. Anna's Walks are vibrant community events that celebrate survivors and remember those who have been lost.
It's a great event for a great cause, and we urge you to get involved and support your local walk. This year they'll be held in 8 cities across Australia and in Wellington, New Zealand. Learn more: https://t.co/x6msNylN3J
On Saturday the Pacific Edge Team joined thousands of others around New Zealand at the Relay for Life. The event was colourful and heartfelt as always, a chance to come together as a community, celebrate the lives of loved ones - both survivors and those we've lost - and have a little fun while fighting back against a disease that impacts so many of us. This year's Dunedin Relay for Life at Forsyth Bar Stadium raised over $250,000 in support of the Cancer Society's life-saving work - care services, educational programmes and research.
A big thank you to Mia and the Team who coordinated things for us. We'd also like to thank all those staff, family members, partners, friends, and colleagues who joined us on the day, and made it so special.
May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month! May is a time for those impacted by bladder cancer to stand together and raise awareness of the disease while working to better support its early detection and care. Learn more: https://t.co/iag452Kw3m #BCAM26#BladderCancerMonth26 #BladderCancerAwarenessMonth
#WatchNow. Dr Christopher Filson discusses key findings from a Kaiser Permanente study evaluating the real-world utility of Cxbladder Triage when incorporated into the diagnostic workflow for microhematuria. View the video: https://t.co/1VgEI4VMzK (via @UrologyTimes).
The study, the largest ever focused on the use of a urine-based biomarker in the care of patients presenting with hematuria, used a 3,353-patient risk-matched cohort (n=6,706) to determine the real-world reduction in cystoscopies and imaging (CT scans). It concluded that Cxbladder Triage safely avoided 952 cystoscopies and 70 CT scans reinforcing the previously published findings of 59% relative reduction in cystoscopies from the STRATA RCT Study.
Cxbladder Triage is now included in the AUA/ SUFU Microhematuria Guideline, supported with grade A evidence.
An important message for all those who have been touched by Bladder Cancer across Australasia. May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month and BEAT Bladder Cancer Australia are planning their annual programme of Anna's Walks on the 17th. Anna's Walks are community events that celebrate the lives of those who have fought bladder cancer, while raising awareness of the disease and highlighting the information & support available for those in need.
It's a great event and a fantastic cause, and we urge you to get involved and support your local walk. This year they'll be held in 8 cities across Australia and in Wellington, New Zealand. Learn more: https://t.co/Av7xXLxDYe
#WatchNow. Late last year we hosted an expert panel discussion focused on the utility of Cxbladder Triage in the evaluation of patients with microhematuria. The 50min session covered a range of topics clinical teams will find useful and we now want to highlight several specific areas of discussion. In this mini-clip, Dr. Jhaveri and Dr. Goldfischer discuss the use of Cxbladder to help optimize practice workflow, prioritizing those who require further care. View the video: https://t.co/AJ2TPeOnta
As a frontline diagnostic, Cxbladder Triage is a non-invasive genomic urine test optimized to risk stratify and rule out urothelial cancer. The test is now included in the AUA/ SUFU Microhematuria Guideline, supported with grade A evidence.

Ordering and resulting tests within the Cxbladder suite just got easier. With a recent update, our US Customer Portal is now fully paperless and the most efficient way for your clinical team to access Cxbladder testing and manage workflow while you're at your desks or on the move. News to share! Pacific Edge announces today that after 11 referrals for Cxbladder were sent to patients last week, the first Triage Plus test has now been ordered by Townsville University Hospital, Queensland, according to an agreed clinical pathway. Learn more: https://t.co/uNqNR7y4hN
Congratulations to Dr Weranja Ranasinghe, Prof Dickon Hayne, Prof Ian Vela, Dr Varun Buhariwalla, and research teams for their dedicated work on the AUSSIE study. The study evaluated the use of Cxbladder Triage Plus as a risk stratification tool to help reduce the need for further invasive testing in Australian patients presenting with hematuria. Enrolment is now closed and analysis is underway with a publication expected later this year.
Data from the AUSSIE study demonstrates the consistent performance of Triage Plus in line with already-published CV evidence from the DRIVE Study. This highlights and reinforces the utility of the test for clinicians and the benefits of non-invasive testing for patients.
The Best Oncology Presentation Award was presented at #USANZ26. The recipient is invited to deliver the USANZ Lecture at the @ANZUPtrials ASM. This year's recipient is @Weranja for his work on Cxbladder triage and urothelial carcinoma detection in patients with haematuria.
