It was a recovery day anyway so when the rain and lightning came in, we switched it up to Yoga.

It was a blazing fast boys' 100 meters yesterday!

Still, Cypress Springs sophomore Chinweoke Onwuchekwa made it onto the podium with a third place finish at 10.12 seconds!

Still plenty more to come from him!

Last year, Cypress Springs High School's boys' 4X100 team stunned the state of Texas, winning the relay as the eighth seed.

Now, tomorrow at 5:00 at the state track meet, they'll look to become the first-ever CFISD relay team to win back-to-back state titles! #ChooseCFISD #CFISDspirit 🥇🎉

Cheikh Djimde signed on for Ranger College last night at our banquet.

Ranger College is a D1 junior college and he was offered a full athletic scholarship for the next 2 years that covers all of his expenses.

5/5 varsity seniors are running in college.

David Thorbahn signed for Trinity University today. With his incredible academic record, he secured their most prestigious scholarship, the Murchison award. He's excited to join @trinityxctf

David joined his senior teammates as they secured their spots on collegiate rosters.

Robert Santoyo signed to University of St. Thomas today. He'll be a first generation college student and is excited to be part of @USTCeltsTrack

Another senior who has made a pathway to success for himself by running at Cypress Springs HS.

Nick Stubaus signed to the University of St. Thomas today. He'll be the first in his family to attend college and joins @USTCeltsTrack as a distance runner!

We're excited about this next step and to see this senior compete at the next level.

Israel Martin Del Campo signs to Blinn College. Izzy will be the first person in his family to attend college. He joins @BlinnAthletics as a long distance runner!

He's one of our many seniors who will be competing at the collegiate level.

Kaitlyn Barnes (11), our school's 1 mile record holder (5:07) placed first in the 800m at district with a time of 2:17!

Kaitlyn is a true D1 recruit and is seeded 1st going into Area.

Trevyn Darden (10) placed 4th in the district in the 800m with a time of 1:58.54

He's an up and coming star who is incredibly versatile having split 50 in the 4x400 earlier in the season and ran a 16:47 5K in cross country

Cheikh Djimde (12) qualified for Area in the 3200 with a time of 9:47

Cheikh holds the 5th fastest 3200 time in the school's history and is still uncommitted as he weighs his options for his collegiate running career!
