And it was the same with software too. Now though buy a copy of Microsoft Office for life for example (other software makers do the same) and suddenly you find to stay upgraded and able to work you have to rent it for life. Even though you bought it outright before.
@EU_EDPS It is not a complex area. Essentially the same permissions apply that apply on the high street. There is a complete myth that the technology community foster that the online world is different from the offline world. It is not. The same protections apply they are not enforced.

Disney are strenuously rejecting any claims that its cyber security was Mickey Mouse in the wake of hacking allegations from subscribers to its streaming service and blames any data loss on lapses on subscribers computers. Happy now or are you just going to be Grumpy?
I have to say I am extremely disgusted and feel let down by the so called experts within the cybersecurity industry
I've seen numerous stories on the Disney+ hijacked user accounts & not one of you, not one, has quipped about "Mickey Mouse security" :) :)
@rik_ferguson I watched Adam and the Ants at the Railway Hotel, Bishops Stortford in 1977 he was covered in white make-up and being whipped on stage. Some years later in 1984 passed him on the stairs of the Hong Kong restaurant in Manchester in full ant regalia a far cry from those early days.
@MarietjeSchaake@EURightsAgency Hi Marietje - we have been working on these issues since the early 1990s and to my knowledge were the first to start writing about the dangers of cyber in national newspapers. Would you be prepared to do an interview for our radio programme on what you think the issues are? Pete
So many people who are not journalists know how to be one. Often told something by person who cannot be named because may lose their job, be forced from their social group etc. Lets you check information, or source in important post that you advise superior about, called checks.
