@ingress I guess it could be lag in the UI, the selected key and the point on screen not lining up.

The portals in that area are fully linked, so maybe an artifact of there not being linkable portals, no where for the pointer to settle on, but still a UI element to resolve?

I thought maybe it was where my Intel Map was centered (attached to my Agent profile, in browser or such) but I made sure all devices I have had the Intel Map at a different point than that today, no change

Could a lower tech civilization decide, for example, that dumping all it's nuclear waste in it's local star was a nice clean choice? Leading to an increase in mass or fusion in the star.
