I am getting lots of incoming questions about the public execution of Nidal Hasan, mostly because I have been outspoken on wanting public executions for over a decade.
My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state's monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution.
This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn't somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain.
And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself.
And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen.
"I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Countryโs ruin."
- George Washington, 1778
@Wkchfltbgvehj He acknowledges a problem, and chooses another even worse problem as a "solution" to help fix the original problem, theoretically if things go specifically how he imagines they will go, eventually at some point in the future

I actually long for an America with demographics where the median welfare abuser looks like this and isn't some foreigner who hopped off a boat 10 minutes ago.
I simply donโt believe that a girl as pretty as Candace ever made an account on any dating site back when she and I were college-aged.
Thatโs my take.
This Republican ad calling out welfare leeches uses a young white male named "Brad" as the villain. Meanwhile, back in reality, women are significantly more likely to be on welfare than men. And black people are astronomically more likely to be on welfare than white people. So the number of single young white male "Brads" abusing the welfare system is minuscule. Practically non-existent. But of course Republicans don't have the balls to do this ad with "Shaniqua" as the villain. Even though that would actually be an accurate portrayal of the problem at hand.
๐จ Welcome to the $15 billion California High Speed Rail to nowhere:
Since 2008 California has spent $15 billion and has not connected a single city or laid a single track. It is now projected to cost more than $200 billion to finish despite being proved nearly impossible to complete.
In 2008 China also announced a high-speed rail and has now connected the entire country with over 30,000 miles while California has connected 0 miles.
Over $500 million has gone to contractors who could not work, homes are currently being built on the alignment, and farmers will lose their farms. In this video I go down the alignment of the high speed rail exposing the failures and confront the legislators in charge of this absolute disaster of a project.
A prime example of fraud, waste and abuse of the taxpayer dollar.
Bringing this back to remind yโall that the Indian population in Texas is so huge that 70-foot-tall Indian temples can be found in the middle of Texas neighborhoods
And ranchers now rent out cows to Indian families who use them to โblessโ their homes:
