@TheSiopaoMan@TenpaiDragonYGO Ironically, similar to martial arts. Japanese martial artists see it as a lifestyle. Americans want to become UFC champions so they can leverage their victory into financial opportunity.
@midnightpullsjp Asking cryptobros - i.e; people with ZERO genuine interest in Pokémon who only aped in to make money - not to treat it like memecoins, is like asking private equity to prioritize long term stability over short term gains.
@midnightpullsjp There is something VERY wrong with people from crypto coming into Pokémon. These people are parasites who only care about money. They don't participate in the hobby or contribute to it, yet they milk it for financial gain. Yes, they ARE a problem.
@PokeDuelsTikTok Hot take: only people who actually play the game (either video games or cards) should be allowed to make money off the cards. If cryptobros don't contribute to or participate in the hobby meaningfully, they shouldn't be entitled to profit off it.
Crazy how social media has made it not only socially acceptable - BUT ENCOURAGED - for grown ass adults in their 20s and 30s to act like dumb teenagers.
If you're not at least 6 feet tall, don't have 6 pack abs, and don't make at least 6 figures a month, no one respects you.
@bigsatodontcrai I find it funny that Ash went from being the best hand trap in the game to being an anti-hand trap card 🤣 🤣 card sucks as a HT in modern Yugioh, its main purpose now is stopping Charmies.
@bigsatodontcrai I think part of what makes Pokémon so successful is its accessibility. Easy to learn and no complex stories that kids wouldn't understand, and in-depth enough for more hardcore gamers to enjoy. As great as games like Clair Obscur and Persona are, they're NOT accessible to kids.
@KabutoKing_ Counterpoint: Kids don't have money, and middle class adults have been priced out of the hobby. Therefore, the only kids left in the hobby are the ones that have rich parents.
