@cryptogems555@grok@BitcoinPulseX I mean, either Grok gives real time input, not 24 hours later, or there's gonna be no rewards or the rewards will be sent to people in your circle. Very little chance of it being otherwise...
@tether@SolanaFndn@DriftProtocol There's a severe flaw. It only affects direct victims of the hack and doesn't boost $DRIFT token price, hence the "believers", the indirect victims that absorbed and became the liquidity to the hackers don't get anything. Unless I'm missing anything and it boosts drift price.
@DriftProtocol@tether 4/4
And finally, again, these are good news that you presented, I just can't bring myself to understand why you chose an inferior and a complicated recovery path, when you could choose a superior and a simple path...
@DriftProtocol@tether 1/X
Remember me? Didn't think so. It's good that Tether's helping. It's also good that you're set on recovery. But I've got a question: Why not simply a silent buyback and redistribution like I suggested? You realize that my simple solution was superior to this complicated one?
@DriftProtocol@tether 3/X
The second problem is, this kind of recovery only helps those who were directly affected by the hack, while the "believers", who insisted to HODL throughout the hack dump stay in loss.
@DriftProtocol@tether 2/X
As in, right now, even though the recovery has kickstarted, there are several flaws in the plan. First, it splits the funds and attention between 2 tokens, which causes speculation from some, while abstaining from others.
@metadev5 So, they gave as much details on the hack as legally possible, are currently participating in investigation as well as STRIDE, so they can't tell everything at the moment either, still tell they'll do everything for seamless recovery, yet we have people like you whining nonstop.
@goldenhotplasma@DriftProtocol They could get a loan from institutions, such as Solana and other parties of interest, because, drift is a crucial infrastructure for both DEX and Solana ecosystems. Many big players, including Solana ecosystem in its entirety have strong incentive to keep drift alive.
@DriftProtocol 3/X
I realize, that compensating users right now, would most likely allow for more vulnerebility, hence, the delays are most likely caused by the 2 factors: Ongoing investigation and STRIDE partnership. Hence, in my eyes, the delay for now is actually the right choice.
@DriftProtocol 1/X
It's up to you how you handle the situation overall, but I thought of suggesting a path, that seems optimal. In terms of compensation, loan into buyback into redistribution would be the best instead of just minting, redistributing and inflating price further.
@DriftProtocol 2/X
That way, the further chop would be avoided. Also, the price would return to level prior to hack. It would not only be a way to regain trust of the affected investors, but also would gain trust of current holders and future investors as well, bringing more into the chain.
@a835267@Everlyn_ai The tweet went way over your head didn't it? Read it again and you'll relize, there was no mention of anyone blocking your or other traders' funds, but MM's funds instead. I guess, that happens when a bunch of lambo FOMOs, with a combined IQ of a potato, buy a quality token.
@Everlyn_ai I just hope it doesn't drop further, because it almost liquidated my entire savings. We should maintain the strong buy pressure above 0.05 to avoid any tragedies.
