UK government recognizes the important contribution cycling makes to physical and mental health (not once, but twice!). We hope that the GoJ, should it need to, will include similar advice. When visiting your local bike shop, respect others and follow social distancing guidelines
@pierre_gregory We sent a message to states members, with a positive response from a Connetable and a Deputy, and no negative responses. We’ll update you when we hear more.
For those not in self-isolation, cycling is a great way to keep physically and mentally fit, either as exercise or for essential journeys. Remember to observe social distancing guidelines, wash your hands thoroughly and cycle safely!

"Thank You" 👏 to everyone who wrote to their parish Connétable and Deputies - each of you 😇 contributed to the adoption of the Sustainable Transport Policy. With your support, we will keep pressing for effective investment in cycling facilities! https://t.co/ZDUVQCF6wR
Ever contacted your parish Connétable or Deputies? No? So make this a first - call on them to represent you by voting for the Sustainable Transport Policy - to make Jersey 🇯🇪 a greener place ♻️ with a healthier community 🍏

Calling on Jersey’s politicians to vote to adopt the Sustainable Transport Policy on Tuesday - to make cycling safer in Jersey!

This journey was from B&Q to Millbrook last week - what’s the average speed of your journey?
Carefully considered reductions in speed limits (such as those proposed by PoSH) open roads up to more people, making them more versatile and efficient!
Calling residents of St Clement ⚓️ ! The trial closure of Rue de Maupertuis to allow students to safely walk and cycle to schools nearby is about to end. Contact your parish representatives and VOTE at the next Parish Assembly in March (24th TBC) to make this permanent!
@sophistedgelord @GeraintJennings In and ideal world where all drivers were attentive all the time we wouldn't need any speed limits. But that is not the world we live in. Would you or a family member rather be in a hit by an inattentive driver at 30mph or 20mph?
Great news from the Parish of St Helier! Safer speeds along residential streets benefits all - only adding a few minutes to a typical journey. And a new green lane! A progressive parish setting a great example to others.
