Today's skill = cone drills!
Have fun weaving in and out, leaning, and looking where you want to go. Great drill for balance and control.

Bike skill - ride over small curbs, like a parking lot entry. Try different angles, different speeds, and starting from different distances from the curb.
This week's skill - riding slow, like 1 km/hr slow! Try riding a straight line and up a hill. This helps with balance, bike handling, and how to pull up on the pedals when the hill gets steep and you think you'll fall over. Let us know how it goes - #tourducompétence
It's that time of year again - the return of the Tour du Compétence! The skill this week is keeping your head up while clipping in your second foot and taking your bottle in and out of the cage. You can practice inside and outside!
Can you bunny hop? This demonstration is helpful for getting over a pothole or stick, or something that you would normally ride around and don't have an opportunity too. The goal is to clear a water bottle on the ground!

Ready for the next skill challenge? Ride no hands. It's easier than you think, and a good skill for understanding how you and your bike need to work together.

Have you ever been surprised by gravel on a ride and felt a loss of control? That's why it's important to practice riding on different surfaces and understand how to stay balanced and upright and confident!

Braking, a skill we often don't practice but is really important. Start at a comfortable speed and work up to an emergency brake so you can feel how your body and bike react together.

Today's skill might seem odd, but it is an excellent one to practice. Not just for cycling but every day activities too. The skill: learning how to fall, or rather learning safety rolls.
