Another busy week in manufacturing land! Pictured here is the mechanical team finished the subscale testing vehicle and worked on various metal parts on Imperator. Aerostructures team started the sanding work on the carbon fiber couplers.
Over the last few weeks, team members at CyRoc have been busy manufacturing various components of this year's rocket Imperator! Here are some sneak peeks.
Last weekend, teams from CyRoc
worked on this year's rocket Imperator. Pictured are the Mechanical team making the
sub-scale test rocket for the air brake system and the Aerostructure team making the composite panel for the rocket's fins.
Cyclone Rocketry just hit a new milestone this weekend! We successfully test-fired a full-scale SRAD motor. This is the largest student-developed motor test not only at CyRoc but in ISU history! Congratulations to the team! A full recap video will be released soon on YouTube
As we approach our launch date there have been countless man-hours spent in ASML building Renegade.
There are two days remaining in our fundraiser so if you have not yet donated please consider helping us out.

This team is doing an amazing job!
We are proud to announce that Cyclone Rocketry has acquired a contract with Honeywell to design and manufacture two rockets launching their payloads.
The subteams are hard at manufacturing the rocket’s critical components and everyone is bringing a great attitude to the job.
Second-semester work is underway as the team prepares to hit the ground running. This semester, with most of the designs complete, focuses on manufacturing and testing. We can’t wait to see the team at the first general meeting on Tuesday, January 26th at 6:00 pm.
The club had its first large milestone to the cup with the Internal Design Review, where all sub-teams presented their plans and designs.
Several members attended an outreach event for cub scouts and launched their High Powered Rockets in Indianola.
The subteams for the club have been assembled and have hit the ground running working on this year's rocket.
Congratulations to Sam, Andrew, and Gunnar for their high powered rocketry launch this weekend down in Indianola.
Cyclone Rocketry’s first general meeting of the year will be today at 6pm. Despite all that has been going on, the team has been working hard through the summer finishing last year's work as well as preparing for this year. 🚀
Remember to wear a mask
...it's really about learning for ourselves and getting the opportunity to fly a rocket that we built from the ground up. Rocket's are meant to be launched, and even if that happens later than anticipated, there is still plenty of value in the project!

Before our spring break started, the Propulsion team tested a 54mm motor grain on our indoor test stand! The test went great and produced solid results, helping us progress our teams research into motor development!

More pieces are coming together every day for Cyclone Rocketry! Holes have been cut in the tubes for airbrakes, while more boards are being soldered. The pads for the airbrakes were made, and we completed a motor test! More to come on that soon!

Today we finished our FundISU campaign! We are grateful for the financial support of our donors and for their interest in our mission and passion for rocketry. The support we received is a testament to the progress CyRoc has made and of the incredible community that supports us!
Last Friday we attended Fellows Elementary school's Science Night! We had the chance to educate the community about Cyclone Rocketry's mission and inspire some future rocket scientists!
