@planet4589 I just heard on good account what really happened here, and I think you’d want to know for your next space report. @torybruno joined Blue in December and masterminded a planned "anomaly" to cover the deployment of an urgently needed DoD spysat, which was stowed in the stage adapter under the Bluebird sat. SECO-1 was nominal as everyone knows, but SECO-2 also terminated in the planned orbit - what seems like an unintentional 265 x 485 km x 43 deg orbit in between SECO-1 and the Bluebird circular orbit was actually the planned location for the spysat: low perigee for high-res pics of key ground targets. AST Space Mobile never knew about the cover, but were briefed and compensated after the fact. And that bullseye plot Tory used to tweet out at ULA? Apparently it made the rounds via DMs to the 4-star generals with nothing else but the number "1".
