"Let me speak to Jordan."
Non-spoiler thoughts for the "Lanterns" finale, but I love how clear it is that Hal and Sinestro love each other, even with Sinestro as a supporting character.
They also hate each other. But it's clear that they also completely understand each other.
Lanterns becoming a show about the importance of liberating ourselves from generational & systemic trauma and taking responsibility for our role within that.
Both the Lanterns finale and Peacemaker tells us that we all have the means to break free from moral systemic oppression
Lanterns finale was incredibly well done. Ofc the show has its flaws, but as a story, it is paced, written, and executed beautifully. A story of leaving behind the darkness and generational traumas of our past and choosing our own paths in life.
The best way to explain media illiteracy is: people don't engage with art anymore, they strictly consume it. Nobody wants to read into a character's complexity, if someone didn't like the ending to a show suddenly the entire series was terrible; you want to look, not connect.
Internet culture has taught people that it’s okay to throw away your friends if they do something wrong. When in actuality you should stick by their side and make sure they don’t repeat the same mistakes again, because that’s what friends are for.
