@BeeneYelros40 This is a problem. I have had bad experiences failing students especially in the clinical setting. Students I have failed then wrote letters about what a horrible instructor I was to the Dean, filed a grade dispute etc.

@BeeneYelros40 I agree Karen. With the expectation the instructor will communicate frequently, online teaching does not seem to decrease faculty work load. With a larger number of students that can enroll, that does not help the workload. #DistEd534

In 2007, the last 25 yrs in DE in nursing was discussed. Computer aided instruction & interactive video discs has evolved to podcasts, blogs, wiki, etc. Faculty have switched from the giver of info to facilitator.#DistEd534

@bestestteach At clinical today I had 2 nurse managers tell me how they feel it is so important for nursing students to get clinical experience. They have recently hired nursing graduates into a residency program and have to teach them everything since they have had no hands on experience.

@bestestteach @JennHoltHardy Yes! Reading the PP makes attending class boring. I teach a skills course and have had a hard time showing relevant equipment. On zoom, the students say it is small & blurry. I'm thankful for pics on the internet. Do you have ideas to pull it together for students?

@JennHoltHardy @SWilson86726320 My first exam was right after everything shut down. It was hard to monitor 50 students via zoom. Not sure they knew how to cheat back then with the sudden shift. Now we have several proctors so we monitor 15 students max. How have you handled test integrity? #DistEd534

@Valerie91333867 Thanks for sharing this article. I find it helpful to present info in a variety of ways to accommodate different learning styles. I also tell my students to watch a video first with the sound off to avoid cognitive overload from watching and listening at the same time.

@LeslieMiccio Leslie, Thanks for sharing this. It got me to thinking how I share feedback with students. I will need to find other phrases to use other than good job! I like to write comments so they know I at least read it. Can an educator give too students too much feedback?
