Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. https://t.co/kBt5G4H5oN
Take a deep breath, sweet friend. Let it out slowly. And remind your heart that you can release control to the One in control of it all.
He is mighty. He is loving. He is able. And nothing is going to take God by surprise.
As Christians, we can have times of depression
We also have times when we’re sad, but it doesn’t mean our faith is gone, and it doesn’t mean that we’re failures as believers. It means that we’re hopelessly human and we constantly need Christ.
Today, let's choose to want what we already have. Smile at what is. Pause to notice the good and with everything in us, thank God.
Even if there’s more healing needed... even if there’s more we’re praying God will do... today we can still be grateful, hopeful, and good.
Our seasons of suffering are not for nothing.
They will grow us... shape us... soften us.
They will allow us to experience God’s comfort and compassion. And we will find life-giving purpose and meaning when we allow God to take our painful experiences and comfort others.
I want you to know tonight that, no matter what shape your home is in or how messed up your family of origin may be, God can still do miracles within families. He can transform an entire line with just 1 generation & 1 generation can launch a whole new legacy with 1 willing soul.
Forgiving others can be hard. But I'm learning it takes just as much energy to stay bitter as it does to walk the path of forgiveness.
Forgiveness frees us to walk a much less exhausting path - allowing our souls to exhale & untangle as we stop recalling resentments over & over.
That battle? The one for which you've run out of solutions and answers… the one that makes you weary and worried and worn out?
God's got it. Let the Lord fight for you.
Your job is to be obedient to God. God’s job is winning this battle.
What happened yesterday can't be changed. But it can be forgiven.
Turn to Jesus in repentance. Let Him wash away all of the shame & condemnation coating your soul. Receive the sweet miracle of His grace & forgiveness & let Him fill you with fresh hope once again. 1 John 1:9
A declaration we can carry into this new week:
I'm not alone. God is with me.
I'm not weak. His strength is in me.
I'm not empty. I’m drinking daily from His fullness.
Truth I’m praying you will remember today, friend…
No person’s rejection can ever exempt you from God’s love for you. Period. No question mark.
You. Are. Loved.
