Facts are important. A whopping 64% of all people assisted in the English Channel from South East RNLI crews was directly to support the small boats in 2025

That’s not my data. That’s RNLI own published data.

STATS:-
People aided in South East by RNLI:- 3670
Of those how many were from migrant boats:- 2353
64.1%

So when people are saying ‘only 1% of calls made are for migrants’ show them this.

Equally that does mean 36% are genuine locally related cases. RNLI, in my opinion, aren’t to blame here. It lays firmly at the feet of the Government, and the one prior.

But the left pretending that people are not at risk at sea because the Portsmouth branch has temporarily closed are misleading and straw grabbing. The RNLI themselves have stated clearly that services remains uninterrupted and temporary closure is common for them and provisions are in place.

So let’s not make a mountain out of a molehill shall we.
