Retired Engineer, wise-ass cynic, Mets & Jets fan, political junkie (hence the cynicism), free-market capitalist. Oh yes, a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S.A.F.
@GeneMeeting@donwinslow Compromise: require that mail-in ballots be requested, like is done in some states now; no more mass-mailings based on suspect voter rolls. Eliminate drop boxes except those at polling places, under guard.
I don't need AI to come up with a massive list of lies that your father has told. Here's a few off of the top of my head. I'm doing yard work now. Maybe I'll actually put some effort into this list later.
“You won’t get Covid if you get the vaccine.”
2024. “Inflation was at 9% when I took office.” (It was actually at 1.4%
“I’ve lowered the national debt.”
“I won’t pardon my son.”
“My son died in Iraq.”
“I’ve never received any foreign money. Nobody in my family has made money from China.”
“I opposed minimum sentencing and building more prisons.” Biden told Charlemagne this in 2020. Both massive lies.
“Trump called nazis very fine people and never condemned white supremacy.” These lies were the basis of Biden’s entire campaign.
“I decided to run because of Charlottesville.” Charlottesville happened in 2017. Biden denied he was running all the way up until 2019.
The “Uncle received Purple Heart” story.
“If I’m elected President, I’m going to shut down the virus.” More people died in 2021 than in 2020.
Biden said that the Afghanistan withdrawal could not have gone any better. This was after he said that the Taliban would not take over the control.
“I never told people to come.” (Regarding migrants surging the border in 2021. Of course he did tell them to come many times in 2019 and 2020.”
2018 “My net worth is 50 to 150 thousand dollars.” Laughable. He made $11 million just the year before.
“I grew up in the Black church.”
“I marched for civil rights.”
“I never discussed business with my son.”
“I used to drive a big rig.”
“I was a full time professor at University of PA.”
“I’m a hard coal miner.” Also “My grandfather was a coal miner.” Biden admitted both were lies.
1988 Joe Biden lies about his grades and quits after getting caught plagiarizing.
Biden said he received a full academic scholarship to law school.
Biden has repeatedly claimed his house burned down.
“I never mishandled classified documents.”
“Graduated top of my class and with 3 degrees.”
Lies about Xi Jinping and the number of times they met.
Drunk driver killed his wife and daughter.
Lies about visiting Tree of Life synagouge.
“I was arrested trying to visit Nelson Mandela.”
“I pinned the silver star” story that never happened. Biden always finishes that story with “My word as a Biden.”
Amtrak conductor story that never happened. Guy retired before Biden was even VP.
Biden claims George Bush tricked him into supporting the Iraq War and that he stopped supporting it immediately after the war began.” Both huge lies. Biden was one of the biggest reasons the Iraq War started and he kept supporting it for years after it started.
“I have 5 grandchildren.” “I have 6 grandchildren.” He actually has 7.
“I’m going to send out $2,000 checks to everyone if I win.”
“I won’t issue vaccine or mask mandates.”
Biden denied opposing the bin Laden raid. Lie.
2012 VP debate. Biden claimed they never requested more security in Benghazi. Flat out lie.
“I never opposed busing.” Lie.
“I knew nothing about the moves to investigate Michael Flynn.” Biden was the one who suggested the Logan Act.
“Hunter’s laptop is a Russian plant.”
16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams recounts his heroic rescue in Santa Cruz California, praises his fellow lifeguard for helping with the rescue.
“I wish more people knew about ocean conditions and rip currents.”
“I'd like people to remember that we make thousands of rescues along the California coast and around the world every day, and that this is not an uncommon occurrence. This is our job, this is what we're here to do, and this is the reason we are here.”
Hero.
@denise_dial I’m sorry for your situation, but Obamacare didn’t help you. It was so ineffective that the government has had to subsidize it almost since its inception. It would have been cheaper for them to buy traditional health insurance for people in situations such as yours.
@miles_commodore Because global warming could easily be disproven. However, no one can deny that the climate changes, so they could claim anything under such an all-encompassing umbrella..
@statomattic When this policy first came out, I figured it was because they didn't want people congregating en masse near the hostess station awaiting a table to not be masked, but it grew into the farce of wearing a mask to get to your table.
