Like the sound of Lady Cynthia but it is a ship not me.
Coincidental Captain of same surname.
Seafaring was in the family past times & a bit of Border Reiving.
@WASPI_Campaign I clocked all parties were cagey about the issue just prior to election but previously appeared supportive. Duplicity is hard to accept!
@WASPI_Campaign@UKLabour The recommendation of crumbs of compensation refused along with compassion for the old and the winter fuel allowance. A very merry Dickensian Christmas to one and all!
@JackEDeakin Regarding the second age hike, what exactly could have been done to improve our pensions options by then anyway? First off, people deserve to be properly informed of changes, no vague stuff and secondly, it needs to be timely. Never mind the naysayers are happy now, eh.
@MhairiHunter We know where we stand in the government’s estimation anyway. Lots of affected women have died in recent years and some never even got to take any pension and more will die as the debate goes on. Respect for elders should be embedded in our society or it is a sorry state.
@ProudGranny24 Poor excuse for socialism-we were a generation of working women, fighting for equality in pay and conditions, taxpayers, as many still are. Now worried about putting the heating on!
@retrowedding68@GBNEWS I know I was financially impacted as I was made redundant at 62 and I fully intended to get a new job as without pension available, it was necessary. But sadly, illness, surgeries and caring responsibilities meant it wasn’t possible. Had to rely on my husband’s income.
@WASPI_Campaign Where are the alleged 90% who ‘knew’ of the changes in advance and how? Do they really have evidence that adequate notice and information was in fact communicated? We were/ many still are the taxpayers and the workers- conveniently forgotten.
@MichaelRosenYes Regardless of whether food smells ok, unpleasant bacteria and their by products can still be present in numbers to make you sick - is the risk of feeling ill worth the cost of a pie? Assuming the date is use by, rather than sell by?
@CoClarified One of my family is coeliac and never had gut symptoms until they became severely anaemic and low in some vitamins due to malabsorption. The diagnosis is confirmed by endoscopy where the damage to the gut can be seen. Others may have other kinds of sensitivity to gluten.
@amybruni Pretty much any smallish thing you really need at that moment!
Socks, receipts, paperwork, scissors, screwdrivers, remotes, phones and so on.
Not forgetting the things you were just using a second ago, turn round and they’re gone!!
@justycoys Bless you, she’ll watch over you but I know it’s not the same as being here in life. I miss my mum every day, want to tell her stuff and ask her advice all the time.
@JaneFallon@The_Animal_Team There are alternatives now, or there should be. We don’t need to scare animals or birds to death for the sake of entertainment.
@amybruni It would be great to have another series. The most thoughtful paranormal investigation programme, where the story of why someone may be lingering is foremost.
