@claushetting @jonathanstea We used to replicate Influenza, RSV, Enterovirus etc. etc. in clinical microbiology labs every day. They all cause disease. We now use RTPCR because we can provide clinically relevant turn around time. PS electron microscopy proved that these viruses were in diseased tissue.
