@pstn_ I just verified that Gentoo’s package uses the system’s OpenSSL. Check your OpenSSL version with ./cyphertite -V

On a positive note - Cyphertite uses 2 layers of encryption, so users’ data is still protected by AES-XTS, even if outer TLS layer is blown

@pstn_ reason for statically linking is Linux historically has had OpenSSL with ECC support disabled and we use that for TLS
