In today’s English lesson, we worked together to create descriptions before writing our own in our books 😃 The focus was to use personification and ambitious vocabulary and there were lots of great examples shared 👍✍️

What an incredible experience for Year 5 to play alongside The Hallé Orchestra in Bridgewater Hall this afternoon! They thoroughly enjoyed the concert😃🎶🎻

SATs 2024 - Complete ✅ We are so proud of Year 6 who worked incredibly hard and remained calm and focused throughout the week 😃 After all of their hard work, this afternoon was spent enjoying a film together with some sweet treats 🎬🍿👍

Using Fiona Rae’s work as inspiration, we have enjoyed creating our own abstract pieces today. We were keen to demonstrate all of the skills we have learnt🎨😃

We have been experimenting with watercolours again🎨 Today, we were focusing on how to create layers and exploring the different marks we could make in preparation for our final piece 🖌️😃

Where does all our rubbish go?🤔 In today’s geography lesson, we have been finding out all about landfill sites and the impact they have on the environment 🌎🚮

After our special science assembly this morning, we really enjoyed showing our families the different investigations/ activities we have been completing in class 🧑‍🔬 #britishscienceweek2024

We really enjoyed using sweets to help us develop our classification skills in science 🍬 😃 After working together to classify the sweets, we then used our skills to sort and classify organisms 🧑‍🔬🤔 #BritishScienceWeek

We are very proud of the team of Y5/6 girls who represented our school at the Y5/6 Girls Football tournament this afternoon. Excellent teamwork, girls! ⚽️😃 👍

Following the assembly, Bart delivered a workshop to talk about how he completes everyday tasks. We were given different challenges to see how we could do things such as getting up off the floor, holding a pencil and writing our name with the physical difficulties that he has ✍️

We really enjoyed listening to Bart Gee, our guest speaker, this afternoon. He spoke about his disability and how, if something is difficult or challenging, it means it is possible😃 #inspirational #breakinglimits

During the afternoon, we enjoyed visiting our own school library to read our class novel together 😊📖 #WorldBookDay2024
