@DavidStankiewi4 My experience is that they don't. Individual members do as they wish, of course, but no C of E church in my experience back in the day had poppies for sale or actively encouraged their use.
My #church is doing this for people who might be grieving and dreading facing #Christmas2023 without a loved one who has died. Please come along or tell a friend if it will be helpful. We're based in #Wythenshawe but all are welcome.
@goragray It's a miserable business and certainly one where the mercy of God needs to be invoked for conversion of heart. As for what He allows, we can only place our trust in his providence.
@WythenshaweCC ...under perhaps well-intentioned influences, but I feel they should be assessed in light of Holy Tradition, and perhaps we ought to exercise caution in considering whether to use them today.
@WythenshaweCC Et cum spiritu tuo. Of course the Holy Trinity is central to our Faith as Christian s. I was highlighting only the problematic depiction of the Father in iconographic form. Of course, I realise you didn't paint it 😇 & that people did start creating such images at one time...
@SkyNews By any chance, did this woman go on holiday with her husband and come home on her own? Because I have to be honest: I don't see Nessie; I see a body in a couple of bin liners.
