@dashydoggo I think I understand you through a bit of an analogy that I unfortunately have to live with if you feel like reading about a stranger on the Internet :)
@Glagger_True I hope I can as well, though online friends I regularly do stuff with is a very foreign concept to me. I certainly am greatful to all the fvn's I've read and to the password community I joined (that's how I found you and Boar). I think you're cool too and I too like you :3
@Glagger_True I want others to talk about their problems because it truly makes a difference to just vent. I enjoy being that person whom people feel like they can vent to, because that itself feels like im helping. Because of my misophonia, that's something I don't get the luxury of feeling
@Glagger_True I should try to do this more often and more directly, but I do somewhat do what that person did with you to those I know. I personally don't see it as a burden in myself to listen to your problems, and help lift a bit of the baggage... 1/2
@Glagger_True Because it makes me feel like I'm useful and not a waste of space as I said. I don't feel particularly talented of gifted at things, or smart for that matter, but I do pride myself a bit on my emotional intelligence/empathy. Reading so many fvn's has really helped me with that2/3
@Electrois_back Middle. Knowing nothing bout them, they seem like a gentle/quiet person who also happens to just look like a badass pirate in every photo taken of them
@Glagger_True While it is probably in a different way to yourself, I do agree with not wanting to directly ask for help. I like to think Im open with my emotions, but I wonder if I come across to those I know as not wanting help because I'm not actively asking for it for fear of embarrassment.
@Glagger_True I feel like I need a different phrase than "I feel this," or "me" but it's true. I most of the time feel like I'm quite useless most of the time, like a waste of space (I know that's self depricating, but it is what it is), so when I get to help people I know and care about.. 1/3
@Glagger_True I derive a lot of joy and fulfillment knowing I was able to do something and be somewhat useful. Generally this means I kinda neglect myself, but if I identify with the issue I'm aiding in I can help myself at the same time like you said. 2/3
