CSCS specializes in marine robotics and autonomous systems such as gliders, AUVs, ROVs, moorings, landers as well as operational forecasting & observing systems
We are now providing global support for Seaglider users!
We're working with Applied Physics Laboratory -
@UW to ensure the continued availability of Seaglider and related services - training, operations, maintenance, & support.

We're starting the #CliNBluFeed Project led by
@AkvaplanNiva to develop methodologies to advance the Norwegian Sea Calanus fishery as a #climateneutral#blue#resource for #aquaculture.
Project harnesses autonomous marine monitoring technologies coupled with remote sensing & AI.
At the cutting edge of detecting CO2 in the world’s oceans! @CyprusSubsea along with @IARC_Alaska are deploying a CO2 Seaglider in the Gulf of Alaska. While @NOCnews trained @NIOZniews at @SOCIB_ICTS to operate @TeledyneMarine Slocum G3s to study CO2 absorption in the North Sea.
How does a #glider work?
With onboard electronics keeping the glider on course, this #AUV glides down to great depths collecting #oceandata. A pump changes the glider's buoyancy while an internal mass shifter steers the vehicle.
The support of @GROOM2RI is a key factor to push Marine Autonomous System (#MAS) innovation by matching the technical possibilities with the real needs of the community and bringing key players together. @bioglider is already showing the potential of what @GROOM2RI is developing.
