This work will be important for those attempting to model MICP in cementitious composites. Joint work between @UniofBath and Wuhan University of Technology developed by @CyrenKe. Experiments led by @LinzhenTan with contributions from @GebhardLab and @V_Ferrandiz_Mas.
We are on a mission to help promote the transformation of the foundation industry into a more sustainable, productive, efficient, and intelligent future. Please watch the space for future updates, the latest stories, and opportunities to engage. #sustainable#WomenInSTEM#UKRI
Pleased to share a couple of new papers from work w/ @CyrenKe, @cementsatshef, Oday Hussein and Susan Bernal - both looking at AAM: one on the thermodynamic properties of sodium aluminosilicate hydrate in @DaltonTrans

@benmagelsen Thanks for this comment. I can see the confusion here. Columns three and four are molar ratios as indicated by the headings. The "atomic ratios" in the captions was requested by the reviewer, which I tend not to disagree :)
Geopolymer (N-A-S-H) gels can be used as low-carbon thermochemical heat storage materials for improving the energy efficiency in buildings!

Returning to @UniofBath after four very productive days @DiamondLightSou 😎Many thanks to the beamline scientists Prof. Georg Held and Dr. Alex Large for their effortless support of the experiment. Looking forward to the exciting result coming from this work🥳
This work is only the first step towards informatic materials design for construction materials. There are still many more areas to be developed for this framework. If this interests you, come and have a chat 😃
Please check our recent work on developing the composition-property correlations coupling machine learning with thermodynamic modelling, for alkali-activated materials.
Coupling machine learning with thermodynamic modelling to develop a co... https://t.co/ZbaOwGpCBM
Alkali-activation is one of the most promising routes for utilisation of versatile aluminosilicate resources. The composition-property correlations established via machine learning can be used to facilitate the on-demand design of AAMs utilising varying aluminosilicate resources.
