The first time the word worship appears in Scripture, there is no music, no choir, no instrument.
It is Abraham.
“And Abraham said… Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship”
and the worship was a journey to Moriah, carrying Isaac.
This establishes the biblical frame for worship.
Worship, before it ever became sound, was posture.
Abraham worshipped by:
Obedience – he went where God pointed
Alignment – he agreed with God’s word even when it cost him
Surrender – he laid down what was most precious
Faith – he believed God beyond understanding
No song.
No atmosphere.
No encouragement.
Just posture.
Worship was not what Abraham sang; it was how he stood before God.
From that moment onward, Scripture teaches us that worship is first a stance, then a sound.
People stood in reverence.
They knelt in surrender.
They lifted hands in dependence.
They fell on their faces in awe.
Each posture preached before any melody followed.
This tells us something crucial:
God responds to alignment before expression.
You can sing loudly and still miss worship.
You can be silent and yet fully worshipping.
True worship is when the heart bows, the will yields, and the body agrees.
Before the song rises, let posture speak.
That is worship.
'Give me a son and I will give you a Prophet' Hannah
Hannah needed a son. God needed a prophet.
Find a connection between your need and a need in the heart of God.
What will your marriage do for God?
What kind of children will you raise for God?
Hollywood didn’t want to make a movie about Jesus, so Mel Gibson paid for The Passion of the Christ himself.
When Gibson decided to move forward with the film, major studios refused to touch it. Executives saw it as too religious, too graphic, too controversial, and too focused on Scripture. A movie centered almost entirely on the crucifixion, spoken in Aramaic and Latin, with no effort to modernize or soften the message, was considered box-office suicide.
So Gibson made a rare move in modern Hollywood. He funded the project himself, investing roughly $30 million of his own money and releasing the film without studio backing. The industry openly doubted it would succeed, predicting audiences wouldn’t show up and theaters wouldn’t support it.
They were wrong.
The Passion of the Christ went on to earn more than $600 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing independent film in history and one of the most successful faith-based films ever released. It didn’t rely on studio approval, trends, or mainstream validation.
It was driven by conviction.
The message of the cross didn’t need Hollywood’s permission — and it still reached the world.
Solomon asked for wisdom, and God added wealth. Abraham asked for a son, God gave him generations. I pray that in 2026, God gives you more than you ask for.
Apostle Joshua Selman speaks:
The concept of the secret place is the secret behind the unusual manifestation of the life and the power of God upon a man. When you see any man or woman, pastor or any individual commanding unusual dimensions of the power and presence of God, then that individual is a person of the secret place.
God is everywhere but does not meet with people everywhere.
When you want to have a business meeting , you don't stand by the roadside to discuss destiny altering business. You find conducive places. There are visitors that have not earned access into your bedroom ..There are others you can grant access to your bedroom depending on the quality of your relationship.
God is a God of the secret place.
God hides himself and waits for those who value him to seek him. Every thing that is glorious is hidden..it is your pursuit that makes it revealed. It is a kingdom system.
When it has to do with redemption, God is not hiding himself..He reaches down to people..But when it has to do with intimacy, and our walk with God, God does not expose himself carelessly..He hides in himself in light.
Everything that is glorious hides..Everything glorious is covered. Imagine if your heart was on your head? Imagine if women carry pregnancy on their head? God made the principle..That everything valuable and glorious is hidden..God is a God of the secret place.
