President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence in commemoration of the 32nd National Heroes Day, honoring Rwandans whose lives exemplified bravery and patriotism.
Rwanda coffee sector posted a historic performance in 2025, with export revenues reaching a record high of nearly $150 million from 23,860 tons exported.
This indicates that #Rwanda is on a strong trajectory to achieve the target of 32,000 tons of coffee exports and to generate $192 million in export revenues by the end of NST2 in 2029.

“To you the youth who are here, you are the majority of Rwanda’s population. Having 75% of the population under 30 is an immense source of strength. We have to ensure that strength is anchored in our values and meaningful work that enable you to build yourself and your country. You cannot build Rwanda without building yourself first. That is what I ask of you and that is my wish for you.” President Kagame | End of Year Party
“President of FIFA has explained well the good things football delivers to people, especially young people, of all backgrounds. There is something else he didn’t mention, he uses football to bring people together for peace, amahoro. This stadium is called Amahoro Stadium, so this is the right place to use football to actually deliver peace. You know, we don’t have enough peace in our region but he has been using football to contribute to bringing peace in our region and beyond.” President Kagame
Germany earned $5.9 billion from coffee exports in 2023.
Africa, the birthplace of coffee, earned only $3.6 billion from coffee exports in 2022.
This disparity is striking given that Germany doesn’t grow coffee.
Ethiopia and Uganda are among the world’s top ten largest producers of coffee.
Both countries have rich histories and ideal climates for cultivating high-quality coffee.
Despite this, their export earnings are overshadowed by Germany’s success in the coffee industry.
Germany imports raw coffee beans from producing countries, including African nations.
The imported beans are roasted, packaged, and branded for export to global markets.
Value addition allows Germany to capture significant profits from coffee exports.
In contrast, many African countries primarily export raw coffee beans with little processing.
Raw coffee beans fetch much lower prices than roasted and packaged coffee.
This highlights the importance of investing in coffee processing industries within Africa.
Developing local roasting and packaging facilities could significantly boost earnings.
It would also create jobs and foster economic growth in coffee-producing regions.
African countries need policies that promote value addition in the coffee sector.
Partnerships with private investors and cooperatives can drive this transformation.
Empowering smallholder farmers with technology and knowledge is also essential.
By focusing on the entire coffee value chain, Africa can maximize its potential.
Ethiopia and Uganda, as leading producers, have opportunities to lead this shift.
Transforming Africa’s coffee industry requires bold action and strategic investments.

Progress rewards starters.
“To those who have, more will be added and to those who have nothing, everything will be taken.”
There is a verse in Matthew 13:12 and repeated in Matthew 25:29
Many people know the verse. Few understand what it points to. Today I explain it to you. Call me the Clergy Farmer.
This verse reflects a phenomenon called the Pareto distribution meaning Progress is not linear. Progress grows in a geometric or exponential pattern. Economics has borrowed this idea and named it the Matthew Principle.
Here is how it works. Once you start a farm venture, the probability that you will farm more and earn more increases. This is why a farmer who started small ends up as a millionaire farmer. My life shows this. I started my chicken journey with five chickens. After one year, I was keeping one thousand Kienyeji chickens. If I did not start, none of this would have happened.
Large scale farmers share the same journey. They started. They learned. They improved. If they never started, they would not be where they are.
This page follows the same logic. If this account did not start, it would not have reached a million followers.
Money follows the same pattern. If you have a million, it becomes easier to add more millions than it was to make the first one. Success builds on steps already taken.
When I tell you to start small, I am not telling you to remain small. I am telling you to unlock growth. When you fail to start, you get zero progress. That is how people lose the little they have.
What have you learned.

Rwanda is the first African country to sanction a European country 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Rwanda has made it clear that Africa is not just a continent of weak people it’s a land of smart people
Congo wanted Belgium to sanction Rwanda, but Rwanda is sanctioning Belgium.
This is a win for all Africans
“Even if all of us were doing everything right, nothing is going to come out of it, until those mainly concerned are also part of it, participating and contributing to the success of the process through which they are getting the support.” President Kagame | Extra Ordinary Summit of EAC Heads of State on Eastern DRC.
