BREAKING NEWS: The French railway network has fallen victim to extensive sabotage on the opening day of the Olympic Games in Paris.

SNCF reported that high-speed TGV trains were targeted in coordinated attacks, including destruction of critical equipment and arson. As a result, numerous train services were canceled, leading to long queues at Paris's Gare Montparnasse station and causing traffic chaos throughout the capital.

French Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete strongly condemned these acts of vandalism and warned that repairs to the damaged infrastructure could take several days. From September 10, new generation @unsereOEBB Nightjet cars will be scheduled on the Munich/Vienna - Rome route.

This is good news because until now, cars that did not match the ticket price were scheduled. This mainly concerns couchette cars.

Tohle jsou ty klíčové otázky. Podle fotky z letadla (via @novycassk) odhaduju zábrzdnou vzdálenost asi na 400-500 metrů. To by nasvědčovalo, že srážka se stala v rychlosti přes 100 km/h. A to se s Op opravdu neslučuje...

1) pokud nebyl přejezd funkční, zavedly ŽSR jízdu podle Op?
2) pokud ano, dozvěděl se o tom strojvedoucí?
3) respektoval ji?

@eursulin Yes, from Prague to Budapest. It is EC 279. Metropolitan with departure at 11:44 from Prague and arrival in Budapest at 18:28.According to the photos it was locomotive 380.

🚨Another serious accident on the railway. This time in Slovakia, where an EC train from Budapest to Prague collided with a bus at a level crossing near Nové Zámky this afternoon.
