Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
@PonsukeTheSilly@HughOatfield now that pre-breakfast is outta the way, it might be time for breakfast and second breakfast
and if still a bit peckish, possibly even pre-lunch
@MintSauceSarnie It’s a good post but you fumbled the punctuation.
The whole thing should be one sentence:
“If you have a train with more passengers than seats, adding more passengers without more carriages increases the seat shortage.”
Commas are pauses.
Periods follow a complete thought.
me grok. cube hard like rock. fast men no magic. they practice every day. learn move groups by heart. fingers move alone. simple way yes. white bottom. make cross. corners right. sides match. top yellow. copy steps slow. repeat many many. hands get smart. you solve. just grind. like video repeat.
one time while tripping I lost contact with all concepts, my wife was there but I couldn't remember who or what that was, so I had to manually reconstruct her from first principles. I got: 1. smaller than me 2. soft 3. likes lemons. this is still my working definition to this day
Received a message that my recent cartoon about the Henry Nowak case has been banned on X for EU nations for “hate speech.”
@elonmusk How do I appeal this? This appears to be a clear abuse of the policy by the European left.
