🧵 What actually broke deUSD’s peg

1️⃣ @elixir had $68M USDC (≈65% of $deUSD reserves) lent out to Stream Finance.
2️⃣ Stream announced a massive loss + freeze; its $xUSD stablecoin depegged.
3️⃣ That puts a big chunk of deUSD’s backing at risk/illiquid.
4️⃣ Market repriced that risk → panic selling → $deUSD nuked to around $0.09.
5️⃣ This isn’t just FUD: without clear proof of reserves & recovery, a 1:1 peg is no longer credible.
