@RodericDay Watched this literally last night. People are talking about it as if its a high art masterpiece but I got more or less the same impression you did, I think I got a few more laughs out of it but not a lot to dissect here
@jdeeimi Thank you! When I first started really getting into metal literally over a decade ago I read about that album and am determined to knock it off the list this weekend
@RodericDay They had a huge hand in all of each other's major works. Saying the success of one couldn't happen without the other is like saying your arm can do all the work it needs to without your shoulder. All this to say I agree with you
@AkuaSankofa If the book has a large enough reputation you can easily spend your whole life reading primers and intros and guides without ever touching the primary text
@thehellmaxxerFU Thanks for the recs. I was reading about an Abruptum album once (forget where) but the guy said something like "there are sound engineers credited but I for one am skeptical" and that always makes me chuckle
@thehellmaxxerFU What's the worst sound quality tape you've ever heard that's still technically listenable/enjoyable/recognizable as music? Or worst sound quality music on any media, doesn't have to be a tape ig
@yung_coxey But the department I work in does commercial trash and if all of those businesses have shut down bc we have entered another great depression then um what then lol. How does one plan for their economic future when the economy in which they live is about to change forever
@yung_coxey Oh yeah. I just don't know if the jump to construction is a good idea rn. The people I've talked to all say "we'll always need construction workers!" but if there's no diesel and all the other petrol based products that make construction sites run then um what then
