I actually didn't like Resident Evil 7 or 8. I played them, but they just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Plus I guessed the plot of 7 the first time "old grandma" showed up in her wheelchair trying to jump scare me on the 2nd floor. My fiancé who had watched a playthrough of it before he bought it for me got so mad. 😅

Yeah, I was so looking forward to Claire or Jill showing up when they said the disease was effecting survivors, and for neither of them to even be mentioned really rubbed me wrong, because, are they okay?!? A lack of media literacy is how people think Aerith doesn't love Cloud for Cloud or that Cloud doesn't love her back. In the original game her affection points start out highest so she is the default love interest made easiest to get by the game. In Advent Children he literally goes to her church to live when he thinks he will die. She tells him she was *initially* drawn to him because of his similarity to Zack, but that wasn't the case anymore and wanted him for him, and later in the lifestream says it is Cloud who is her love. Cloud openly shows his fondness for her and gets jealous over her. And I'll post this here because people that just go along with made up internet nonsense:
