🗳️ JFA Voting Update 🗳️
By a majority vote, the tentative agreement has been effectively ratified by the JFA general membership.

The T.A. now goes to the D228 Board of Education for their ratification on Feb 18th at Tinley Park High School during their monthly meeting.

This morning the Joint Faculty Association and District 228 have reached a tentative agreement for a successor contract.

As a result, the work stoppage scheduled for Jan 27, 2020 is suspended pending potential ratification by the D228 School Board and the JFA membership.

3️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ days ago we started this task for a fair deal for all members. We are still going strong.

Strong showing of unity here at the BoE meeting! After nearly a year of bargaining for a fair contract, we still stand #JFAUnited for our students, communities, and every educator in District 228. The next mediated bargaining session is tomorrow evening.

Join us tomorrow evening as we demand our school board act with a sense of urgency regarding the bargaining of a fair contract. We have bargained with the school board for nearly one year and have been working without a new contract for over 100 days.
