The species used for this purpose is the Japanese cormorant or "Ukai" in Japan.
Each bird has a close relationship with its handler, and the training is rigorous, requiring mutual trust between bird and fisherman.
The practice often takes place at night with fishermen using flaming torches. The light from the torches attracts the fish and makes it easier for the cormorants to spot them.
86-year-old Lao Huang is a cormorant fisherman living in Yangshuo, China.
Cormorants are aquatic birds known for their fishing abilities, diving from the surface to catch fish. They can dive as deep as 150 ft (45 meters) in search of prey.
The history of cormorant fishing spans over a thousand years and was practiced in Ancient Egypt, Peru, Korea, India, Greece, North Macedonia, and briefly in parts of France and England. However, it reached commercial scale only in Japan and China.
So, how does it work?
The fisherman ties a snare at the base of the cormorant's throat, allowing it to swallow only small fish. When the bird attempts to swallow a large fish, it gets stuck in its throat and returns to the surface for the fisherman to remove it.
With the advent of more efficient fishing technology, cormorant fishing is now mainly practiced as a cultural tradition and for tourist attractions.

Those who are on their heels will be left behind chasing the next narrative.
Rather be on your toes and be well positioned.

One of the least understood stories across investing right now is that equity investors are scared out of their minds, while crypto investors are still deploying large amounts of capital.
Crypto investors are built for volatility in a way that equity investors can't handle.
Since I’ve been asked a lot:
Buy stock in several companies that make products & services that *you* believe in.
Only sell if you think their products & services are trending worse. Don’t panic when the market does.
This will serve you well in the long-term.
If you own $ADA Cardano vs. $EGLD Elrond understand you are paying over 9X more for $ADA $33 Billion vs. $3.5 Billion $EGLD
$0.97 seems cheap to common investor vs. $162 but the $162 is 9X cheaper
Biggest mistake of inexperienced investors.
Price vs Valuation
I earn around $1,000 a day staking the #EGLD i paid $40,000 for in 2020
It doesn't take much to become financially free
Just one smart decision on an undervalued #Altcoin will change your life forever 🚀
