Due to yesterdays heavy rains & lack of drying conditions since, Zilker Park is saturated & unable to support the Trail of Lights without posing safety risks & park damages. The City of Austin has closed the park & cancelled tonight’s Trail of Lights.
There's only a few more days to share your input on the latest draft designs for the Bergstrom Spur Trail, including:

I am proud to stand with solar, wind and green job workers - all workers on AE big jobs deserve safe working conditions with good jobs and benefits! Thx to AFL- CIO and all the groups fighting for these rights!
Parking reductions are important and were part of the resolution regarding changes to compatibility that will come back to Council in the fall. Also VMU reduces parking requirements and the newVMU2 reduces parking requirements even more along transit lines (by 60 percent)
before anyone says "the new stuff won't be affordable I'm a big dumb baby!!" I would invite you to consider VMU, which includes subsidized apartments and could be built on every lot on Guadalupe in Hyde Park if the NIMBY Council Members would vote to reduce parking/compatibility.
Queen Maxima knows how to bike!!!! Welcome to the Queen - grateful to Austins partnership with the Netherlands where they understand the value of a bikeable city for all (including older adults!)
