@drewlevin@randomlolhuman@_Beora Playrate is indicative of ease of access/skill floor of a hero and win rate is indicative of your ability to operate independent of your team in riot games titles, which I guess you could consider viability but is probably counter to actually attempting to balance the game
@nick_underhill Shough has played 3 good games, McMillan has been a top 16 wideout in the NFL as a rookie on a team that's 23rd in pass attempts.
Not that Shough hasn't shown consistent growth/promise or isn't a good rookie, this just seems a bit forced to make it seem like there's a contest
Or what if your division is stacked and you gotta play a bunch of beasts and you cannibalize one another all year? It’s dumb to punish that. The regional aspect of the sport makes it better than the NBA. Devaluing that is probably bad. But if you do, change the schedule.
@VALORANT Based on publicly available information, clove has a 55% winrate in non mirror matchups all while being the smokes of choice at apex tiers. Surely we don’t make a completely tone deaf nerf to astra while ranked is ruined by triple off angle agents every other game.
the recipe for a clutch and how to assess rounds / mistakes analytically and objectively
this is basically like the butterfly effect. you need to look at the first action (mistake) cause every action that succeeds is predicated on that first action
in terms of a metric i dubbed the Clawback-Bozo differential (clawback kill - in man disadvantage, round later won; bozo death - in man advantage, round later lost)
torzsi led the way, mainly due to the CT side (cont. next post)
