one thing that seems to happen over and over again in your life is the reminder that you are hardly ever chosen and that you are appreciated only when it is convenient. loyalty is something you have rarely experienced. time after time, you have given people your everything and they have dumped you as soon as you become too much work.

and this has manifested itself into all areas of your life. in the workplace and academic life, the people around you have been free to express grievances but somehow when you respectfully point out something or defend yourself, you have been labelled difficult and you have been misconstrued. it’s as if people only tolerate you when your silent. which is similar to your experience in relationships because your very basic standards are made out to be “too picky”. no one has fought for you- appreciated your work and valued you enough to make you comfortable. you are always fighting people/ circumstances just to get the absolute bare minimum.

no matter how much you have worked and no matter how good you are, you rarely experience being chosen and valued without you having to make yourself smaller to accommodate people. it’s been so tiring having to constantly be the person people love to misunderstand.
