@JustinEGiboney What role can shame play in the process of punishment? It seems to me that God gave consequences Himself that would cause shame in the Law of Moses (e.g. the one who would not marry his dead brother's wife and then must carry the shoe around).

@drantbradley I'm in the Math Dept at Univ of Oklahoma, and it is hitting us hard, especially come this Fall, due to some policy changes at the state level making paid-for 0 credit hour courses (e.g remedial math) not an option combined with OU deciding that even the least prepared can enroll.

Just finished Just Discipleship. I loved the mission of the book to ask how do we become the kind of people that practice justice?
I think it'd be great to read an essay or something answering the opposite: what habits/lifestyles keep one from practicing justice?

@MikeWingerii It's also a long term aim. The more people vote 3rd party, the more pressure the 2 dominant parties will feel to change how they operate (because they both need to change immediately).

"They're so much worse" is simply not good enough in every case, or in this one.

It's true, of course. Those are different jobs with different qualifications. We don't expect moral perfection.

But we *should* expect leaders with integrity who do justice, especially for those who can't stand up for themselves.
