At home & abroad, we’re working to do everything necessary to keep Canadians safe. During our meeting with the Incident Response Group this afternoon, we discussed the coronavirus & our plans to bring Canadians home from the affected areas in China.

It’s the 10th year of #BellLetsTalk and, while we’ve come a long way from where the conversation on mental health started, there’s still more work to do to end stigma & make sure Canadians can get the support they need. So let’s keep talking, Canada!

Our 1st act of this mandate: cutting taxes for everyone but the wealthiest. What it means⤵️
✅You won’t pay federal taxes on the first $15,000 you earn
✅Families would save nearly $600/yr
✅Single people would save nearly $300/yr
✅The wealthiest 1% will NOT benefit from it

I commend @cathmckenna for her courage and bravery in how she confronted this appalling and disgraceful behaviour head-on. We need more women in politics and positions of power. Without our voices being heard, governing isn’t possible. We must and we can do better.

[Justin Trudeau @JustinTrudeau]

Nobody should have to put up with or go through this. @cathmckenna, as always, is a strong & positive role model for us all. We will always stand with you and call this behaviour out.

Just heard Norway’s sovereign wealth fund from oil resources is now worth $1.3 TRILLION. That’s because they formed a state oil company to protect the public’s share and started saving in 1996. Compare that to how the Conservatives have managed Alberta’s resources.

UPDATED: "We really don't need anyone to be offended by this on our behalf. What we do need is non-POCs to really look into the struggles of racialized communities and think about how they can be allies," the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians says. https://t.co/P7mRiShoUn

"This is something that I deeply deeply regret," said @JustinTrudeau addressing blackface scandal. “Darkening your face regardless of the context or the circumstances is always unacceptable because of the racist history of blackface.” #cdnpoli
