💡Paul Scholes has just asked the question United fans don’t want to answer. 👀
How can City be condemned for building a football club AND investing heavily around Manchester, while the Glazers have extracted money from United and left the club carrying enormous debt?
If spending and financial sustainability are supposedly about protecting English football, then why is debt not treated with the same outrage when it sits on the other side of Manchester?
United fans can’t celebrate City’s punishment while pretending their own club’s financial model is beyond scrutiny.
Scholes isn’t defending City. He’s exposing the hypocrisy of the debate.
If the rules are about protecting football, they have to apply consistently not selectively.
UK Education Secretary and #ManCity fan, Lucy Powell:
“Can I just say to all those United fans who have been gloating all week - you're still crap and you know you are!”
Just forget all the legal terminology for a second.
Manchester City are guilty of having owners who just wanted to invest their own money into their own business.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just remembered the Premier League let Man Utd claim an exceptional £40m Covid allowance. Coincidentally, the exact buffer they needed to stay under the £105m PSR loss limit 🤔
That one single claim was larger than the allowances of the other 19 clubs combined.
Fair play 👍🏽
