Logic needs to be countered with logic.
They can't give vague answers like "With time it will improve"
No. It won't.
Coz the issue is structural.
We can't simply copy something without assesing suitability to our markets.
I genuinely feel traders should consider staying away from Nifty expiry day trading for some time.
With NSE preparing for its IPO, If volumes start drying up, exchanges will have a much stronger incentive to take traders and brokers concerns seriously and push it to SEBI.
Because right now, the entire ecosystem seems to be getting hurt traders, brokers and exchanges themselves. I don’t really see who is benefiting from this.
From what I understand, in just the last 2–3 days, many brokers have already seen around a 15–20% drop in order volume, and I feel this could get worse as more traders realise they simply don’t know what to trade anymore.
The bigger problem is that the way options are behaving has changed completely.
Strategy builders target lines are built on certain assumptions about how option premiums behave. If those relationships become unpredictable, a lot of these tools become far less useful.
Nobody really knows what strategy to run, what risk to take, or how premiums will behave into the close.
Because at the end of the day, if traders, brokers and exchanges are all getting hurt, something in the mechanism clearly needs to be reviewed.
Foreign investors, trading companies urge SEBI, govt to reduce STT; say levy and capital gains tax hurt investors
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and Indian units of overseas trading companies have urged the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the central government to reduce securities transaction tax (STT), an Economic Times report said, citing people close to the matter.
The report further said that the high-frequency trading firms in a meeting with the SEBI and officials of Department of Economic Affairs said that the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) leverage rules would force them to shift trading activities offshore.
Full-time trading is my bread and butter and I will definitely take part in this boycott to make sure nobody snatches it from me. I support this movement and if you are also into trading, do not take even a single trade on that day.
Fuck you @SEBI_India
Agar dum hai to 1-1 lot se option selling karke dikhao. Naa koi event na kuch fir bhi premiums are behaving like there is world war going on.
Gaaand me daal lo apni CAS ko.
The BJP is sinking faster than I thought.
It has lost the seat of even its national president.
#PrashantKishor has won by a huge margin.
Their arrogance is breaking down. The people of the country have given a signal of change.
