A total of 376 law enforcement officers were at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
19 students and two educators were still shot dead.
At Covenant Christian school, there were armed staff members on the premises.
Three 9 year olds and 3 adults were still shot dead.
Today there a was shooting at a bank in Louisville. A bank with armed guards.
Four people were still shot dead and nine more, including two police officers, were injured.
AR-15s were used in each of those horrific shootings.
So tell me again how it is that “more guns” are the answer.
Republicans are banning books, drag & gender affirming care, they’re banning black history & “woke” math, they’re banning the words “gay” and “menstruation”, banning access to abortion care, banning state to state travel, pronouns and FDA approved medication…
All while claiming that banning assault rifles would be ‘an attack on their freedom’.
Bullshit.
Senator Josh Hawley raised a fist in solidarity with January 6th attackers
Rep. Paul Gosar posted a cartoon video that depicted the killing of AOC
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a video in which she said Nancy Pelosi was a "traitor" who deserved to be executed
George Santos lied about nearly everything he told voters about himself before he was elected
None of these politicians have been expelled from Congress, but two brave young men who spoke out against the gun violence claiming the lives of children in Tennessee were wrongly expelled.
We must make this moment count.
Every week, I'm seeing straight cis males, Republicans, and members of the church arrested for child porn or sexual abuse and I'm NOT seeing any instances of drag queens being arrested for the same.
It's almost like Conservatives are looking in all the wrong places for "grooming."
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:
I don’t care if an indictment whips the base into a frenzy.
I don’t care if Ma & Pa Qrackhead send him every last dime they have.
I don’t care if it makes him more popular than Jesus Christ, cookie dough ice cream and Sally Field combined.
He could kick a puppy on pay-per-view and raise a million dollars doing it.
Either we are a nation of laws or we are not.
And not charging him will do far more damage to this country than indicting him ever could.
Republicans will force a 10 year old to carry her rapist’s baby to term, let a 6 year old carry a gun, permit a 12 year old to work an 8 hour shift in a meat packing plant and allow a grown man to marry a 14 year old with a Judge’s consent, all while telling us that the reason they’re banning drag queens, gender affirming care and books about Rosa Parks is because they want to ‘protect our kids.’
Bullshit.
@EdKrassen When people say Russia was right to invade Ukraine to get rid of the Nazis, I always ask if that means mexico can invade the US to get rid of our Nazis
As a Jewish American of Ukrainian descent, I almost vomit every time Republicans like Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene say that Ukraine is run by Nazis.
Let's get a few things straight here:
1) Ukraine is run by a Jewish man, who lost several of his uncles in the holocaust. His grandfather fought the Nazis in WWII. President Zelensky won an astounding 73% of the vote in 2019.
2) Yes, there are neo-nazis in Ukraine, just like there are neo-nazis in America, Russia, Canada and everywhere else in the world.
3) In Ukraine, just like most other nations, the neo-nazis make up the fringe, far-right political party(s). In the most recent 2019 Ukrainian election, only 2% of the popular vote supported this far right group, compared to the 73% that supported the Jewish Zelensky.
4) Only 1 member of the 450 member Ukrainian parliament represents the far-right Svoboda party that has some neo-nazi views. None of the other representatives support nazism in any form.
So if you are propagating the lie that America is helping fund Nazism or that Russia is "de-nazifying" Ukraine, you are spewing pure Russian propaganda and should be ashamed of yourself!
In case anyone was wondering just how insane Republicans are:
In the state of Tennessee, they’re trying to ban a book about seahorses, claiming it ‘normalizes gender fluidity & the idea that males can get pregnant.’
This is where we are folks.
